CORRGUARD™ SELECT 95 is a new-to-world, readily biodegradable multifunctional additive exclusively manufactured by Advancion to provide superior performance with an excellent safety profile for metalworking fluids.
CORRGUARD SELECT 95 (3-amino-2-methyl-2-butanol containing 5% added water) is a primary amino alcohol with well-balanced performance that provides highly effective multi-metal compatibility and reduces cast iron corrosion, aluminum staining, and cobalt leaching. CORRGUARD SELECT 95 is a highly efficient neutralizer with a high pKa and provides excellent pH stability and enhances microbial degradation resistance when used with registered biocides. CORRGUARD SELECT 95 is 100% water soluble and has excellent hard-water stability, low foaming, and offers improved solubility in the synthetic base oils.
CORRGUARD SELECT is available in several other concentrations, including CORRGUARD™ SELECT 90 (10% aqueous solution) and CORRGUARD™ SELECT 75 (25% aqueous solution). In addition, Advancion offers high-purity CORRGUARD™ SELECT LSA with <0.75% secondary amine content for formulating metalworking fluids compliant with TRGS 611 in Germany.
